Ontario’s affordable housing plan needs to be built on a foundation that includes solid targets and timelines, and co-ordinates housing and homelessness initiatives of federal, provincial and municipal governments; along with the work of non-profit and private housing and service providers. Wellesley Institute CEO Rick Blickstead and Michael Shapcott , Director of Affordable Housing and Social Innovation, meet with Ontario housing minister Jim Watson to deliver the first draft of key elements of a provincial housing plan. Minister Watson has promised that he will deliver a provincial housing plan by the end of June, 2010.
