On January 28th, at 12:00 EST, join Liz Weaver as she speaks with Michael Mendelson of the Caledon Institute to discuss the research process used in developing the Ontario Deprivation Index. The “deprivation index” lists items which are widely seen as necessary for a household to have a standard of living above the poverty level. Michael will also share about his current work with the Government of Ontario to include the deprivation index as one of the indicators for the Ontario Poverty Reduction Strategy.
