It should be noted the Cdn Charter does include womens rights, multicularism, affirnative action,& rights for physical & mental disabilites the onbly one in the western world.Keep in mind the US Constitution had the 14th Amendment but still had Jim Crow laws in the south. There is also sopmething for aboriginals which neither the US or Australia have. All these amendment I mentioned above are not included in the US Constitution. But still there is a polite discrimination & alienation that ppl with mental health issues face that maybe immoral not not necessarily be illegal.Something I've mentioned in regards to the US 14th Amendment in regards to blacks.

I understand OPSEU are holding rotating protests wearing blue across the province because ODSP with either be privatized or merged with OW.If it merges with OW that means like in the Harris years at Queen's Park ODSP will be DOWNLOADED on the muncipalities with OW being the Regional govt & having in my area 12,000 more clients who get twice that of OW.The only way the Regional govt can handle this is by raising property taxes sky high or reducing ODSP rates in line with OW in the Queen's Park spring budget. The Cons will agree with McGuinty because they done the same in the past & the NDP will vote it down. They cetainly don't want 2 elections in less than 6 mos.I hope this doesn't come to pass.

General Smuts was indeed involved in drafting the Charter of the United Nations in 1945. However, this article mentions Humphrey as a drafter of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as opposed to the Charter. Indeed, during the deliberations on the Declaration South Africa was opposed to many articles and abstained in the final vote on December 10, 1948.
